Sorry I haven't gotten back to your comment until today. :) I'm a bit eclectic in my fandoms, and while I haven't gotten into Supernatural or Homestruck, I'm a HUGE Sherlock fan. I'm waiting with baited breath to know whether there will be a 4th series. :)

I hope to be blogging about Doctor Who and Marvel's Agents of Shield as I'm able, and maybe a smattering of Elementary, any of the NCIS franchises, Bones, and maybe (MAYBE) Castle. My time is limited, and if I blogged about ALL my favorites, I'd have no time to write my novels! :D

Thanks again for stopping by!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10072706769675479529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6635254887060965792.post-28300320526460742862014-09-03T22:18:57.158-05:002014-09-03T22:18:57.158-05:00Goodness! It's a free short on youTube. Not only did it give us a proper chance to say farewell to Doctor 8 (which we never got after his failed movie) but it is also simply some of the best Doctor Who ever made. Yes, everything WILL work out one day--whether it's tomorrow or 1,000 years from now is anyones guess--but by having happy endings CONSTANTLY in our children's books, are we setting them up for disaster when life happens? No one prepared my daughter for what it would be like when I was gone for 5.5 months taking care of her little brother. We did our best, but I highly doubt there's many children's books out there (unless they're geared more for kids of soldiers going off to war) that could have helped us during that time.

Yes, kids need to be kids, but if they have a constant diet of candy-coated books and princess movies, what kind of expectations are we setting them up for later in life? That things will always go their way and that they'll meet a handsome prince who will be mostly perfect? Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10072706769675479529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6635254887060965792.post-73050300779481245482014-01-21T12:27:18.052-06:002014-01-21T12:27:18.052-06:00I think we like happy endings because God likes ha...I think we like happy endings because God likes happy endings. Being made in His image creates that sort of expectation. Being a Christian intensifies our longing for them. Because that is the ending that God has crafted in His book. There is an awful lot of very grim reality between the covers of that book, but the ending is glorious. Perhaps those who are satisfied with sad or ambiguous endings are the ones without hope. That is a very, very sad way to end. I choose better.Steve Mathisenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08096646010339342665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6635254887060965792.post-30771281463662462542014-01-18T11:12:55.857-06:002014-01-18T11:12:55.857-06:00Good for you!
